  • I'm not a great fan of the NHS but I take my hat off to you for making this knowledge available and pitching it just right for the layman. Suffering from an abcess it's helpful to know what is happening. 5 stars....

  • @DeepFill86 yeah u r ite actually in abcess we dont need anti biotics because body has walled off the infection inocculum we just have to give incision and drainage. i.e remove the casue

  • can you have an abscess and not know about it?

  • i have an abscess and it hurts like hell!! i went to the dentist two days ago and they had to clean it. half my mouth is still numb, and i have to go three more times :/ im in pain! :'(

  • This information is INCORRECT. Proper endodontic treatment ( without the need for the prescription of systemic drugs) is an effective way to treat the problem. Immediately throwing antibiotics at such cases is uninformed, irresponsible and dangerous (possible allergic reactions). Please research your material. A regimen of antibiotics is not indicated in an otherwise healthy patient for a small localized swelling without systemic signs and symptoms of infection or spread of infection.

  • awesome animation

  • I've has 2 dental abscesses in the past, eventually resulting in the loss of a tooth. It was the most horrendous pain ever - and I've given birth twice! Now I make sure I take care of my teeth and brush every day.
