clouds creep me the fuck out

@f1fan84 CATEGORY 1, 2 and 3. Different types of ILS approaches with different minimums of distance and height for different visibilities. Lower the visibility, greater the CAT (if installed at runway).

muito bom, congratulations!

dash 8

That is intense!

is it just me or does it look like a plane had just descended through the clouds , you can see a trail exactly were you went through
-
I love the way you can see the turbulence in the cloud from previous approaches
-
@f1fan84 there are different numbers associated with minimums for each, but in laymens terms, cat 1 is the most visibility necessary, cat 3 the least visibility required. Also, more equipment is needed for cat 3 to execute the approach.

CPT: Low visibility? I'm so screwed.
Cat (1st of all means Category)
Cat I : means that Decision height for the pilot is 200 FT not lower
(WHICH MEANS HE MUST BE ABLE TO SEE THE RUNWAY lights/App Lights at 200 Feet)
Cat II : means that Decision height for the pilot is 100 FT not lower
(WHICH MEANS HE MUST BE ABLE TO SEE THE RUNWAY lights/App Lights at 100 Feet)
Cat III there is 3 sections of this Category A B C
Catt iii A decision hight 100
Cat iii b decision hight 50
Cat iii C There is no decision height

While technically not a true CAT III landing. Any landing that uses CAT III equipment and procedures is considered CAT III for longing experience. The weather ceiling and visibility met CAT II conditions. Damn good approach and landing.
