A spiced-up version of Milestones by Miles Davis..In 2006 I was privileged to have been asked by the Old Spice Boys to help with logistics of their trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festval, where they played a season at the Famous Spiegeltent. You can see from the clip that Azo Bell is arguably the world's best ukulele player, and the virtuosity also displayed on Tea Chest bass by Billy Milroy and on drums by Tim Reeves is a real joy to watch.
Thanks to The Famous Spiegeltent for permission to film and use the footage. http://www.spiegeltent.net

  • @TheWiggy51 I'm amazed you say that no one in Byron had heard of them. I used to be always bumping into them and they often played at various venues especially The Rails. The Old Spice Boys ARE great though.

  • Love them. Went to Byron Bay NSW and could not get anything about them , not a cd and no one i spoke to have heard of them. How outrageous considering its where they come from. It was dissapointing too, as i wanted to bring my brother something back from my trip. never mind. they are great though.

  • I love the Old Spice Boys, they are unique. I wonder if they remember me from Byron... Jane at Lisa Fairy's. Miss seeing you at the Rails. I must come back for a visit.

  • what are trying to say? do you know english..

  • this is great! amazing what you can do with basic instruments...it's music in the soul!

  • Billy uses 3.5mm cotton sash for his bass string

  • are this guys working from teligence company (Canada)???

  • Great stuff: At last some respectable Gutbucket !!! (I have a CD and its all great). Is that a true Tea Chest Bass? Nice tone. What do you use for a string? Good Uke and percussion too. Do you guys ever get to the States?

    Gutbucketeer

  • I'm fortunate enough to live in their home town and I've shared the stage with them on a few occasions. The Spice Boys are top class pro musicians who refuse to take themselves too seriously. Get their albums you won't be disappointed. Alibi in Birdland is my favourite.
