  • nice video but was that bit light in the sky near the end of the movie the sun(and i dont mean the lightning)

  • That was the sun. It was just setting and was behind the clouds causing the storm.

  • @calparjay The middle of summer in the Great Basin, that's how

  • @laketahoerocks123 Yeah, I was there too.....it was the same storm in this video....july 21st 2006........one of the biggest thunderstorms and electrical storms to hit here in a LONG time.

  • Wow, simply beautiful! I've been to Reno quite a few times during the winter. But I never been there during the summer. I should visit some time during the summer, since I love thunderstorms and being a Californian, going to Florida or the Midwest is quite far :D

  • I grew up in Reno and while they might not be all that frequent, the thunderstorms here can be very powerful and sometimes even have medium sized hail. The thing that beats other parts of the USA is that the air is so dry u can see every dynamic of the storms as they form and its amazing

  • It's 100 degrees Fahrenheit, this would be circa 38 degrees Celsius.

Sounds still quite hot too me. :)

  • wtc creepy lol

  • im moving there!

  • hey I live in Reno too and do you people remember the one time where we had that realy bad thunderstorm with the hail and the hard rain it was like 4 years ago.

  • I hear killdeer. :D They're throwing a fit. This is awesome. Thanks for filming.

  • theres actually a horrible storm here in indiana, the worst one in the history of indiana, check the news, seriously
