Prop 23 would suspend California's AB32, Global Warming legislation which would require energy companies reduce their carbon output to 1990 levels.

James Cameron has donated $1m to oppose Prop 23, even though he hypocritically lives a carbon intensive lifestyle.

If you still want support Cameron, that's you prerogative, but don't pretend to believe there is any good reason for a man to say that we have to live with less, and yet lives with more than 99% of people on the planet.

the only thing you can work hard at to get rich is by taking advantage of dysfunctional system. great wealth creates great poverty - there is no way you can spend that money on a product or service someone is not earning a human wage to live on - my opinion

Instead it seems to be those on the left who need to make sure they've covered their bases so they don't get picked apart by the common man and are left alone. If Cameron told everyone to fuck off, his movies and by proxy, even MORE wealth would be boycotted. He can't have that!

To some degree I agree with you that this seems to be a problem for rich people, however I think it's more the rich DEMOCRATS who have this going for them. Al Gore, Cameron, even Obama, a lot of it is "hey we need to do with less....but not me" I'd rather have someone go "yeah i worked my ass off for my toys and now I'm going to enjoy them. If you want tips on how to succeed ask away but I'm not apologizing for anything" That at least would be respectable.

i totally agree - Brett Wilson claims to be socially aware business guy yet support keystone while fighting activists. Rich people always say they support everything good yet live a life that contradicts their words. Wealthy mouths seem to write cheques their ass's can't cash

I would respect celebrities even if I didn't agree with their policies if they would give big to their cause and live small. I get so tired of these self important hypocrites.
