  • hes not wasting meat, if you caught as many fish as him you wouldnt worry about a few ounces of meat

  • man this helps alot, i've always wanted to keep my fish but never knew how to filet them, thanks.

  • i think when u use the electric knife you cut away some meat that you could EAT! great video!

  • That's the way we ate them in Ky when I was a kid. I couldn't stand to pick bones, but it does make for tastier fish.

I'm a fan of hand filet-ing with a regular filet knife leaving the ribs with the carcas and cutting out just a small vee shaped slit to lose the floating ribs. It waste very little meat. My parents tell me that i'm wasting too much meat. It's just how I was raised.

  • How about this?

I'm offering my most humble apologies to the man in the video. If he would like to come to my neck of the woods here in Kentucky, I would be happy to take him fishing in my old bass boat,

  • Do you know him? How can you make that kind of judgment about him without knowing him?

  • you are so right, i bet he worked very hard for that huge mansion in the back. i wish/hope someday i'll be that successful, im workin hard at it though!!!

see kids thats what you get when you go to school and get a good education!

  • I'm from the deep south, so i grew up picking bones on panfish. I like the fillets, but i like picking those rib bones, I won't fillet a bluegill. Just head off, and split butterfly style.

  • I don't know who he is, but if he came from humble beginnings His waste of meat suggests he has forgotten them.

I'm not trying to insult the guy, I'm just pointing out that rich people lose thier edge they tend to rely on electric knives. Nobody knows when the situation may arise where you have to have and use survival skills. That's why we hunt and fish, to hone our skills, in case it comes down to depending on them. If your stuck in the boonies every last scrap of meat is crucial.

  • Nice. How bout you post a video and show him how to clean fish and sharpen knives. - Don't be angry cuz that man put in years of hard work and long hours to get where he is today. I don't see the need for him to survive in the woods. Looks like he can catch enough fish to feed the whole town.
