how to set up ps3 to surround sound

ok i just baugth a boss suround system 12000$ but i connected to my tv exactly like you said but only the front right and front left works but not the center or the two suround speaker help pls

@federicodana22 check your setting on ur surround sound see if you can change it to all speakers if not then you would have to buy a opitcal cord that plugs in to the ps3 then your surround sound

hey man I was wondering if it is possible to hook up a ps3 for sound with an HDMI to my receiver and also hook up the ps3 for picture quality using an HDMI as well? It just seems like you can only use HDMI for sound or picture only, not both.

@Rampersad454 you can put the hdmi in your tv for pic and sound then you can also run a optical cord from the ps3 to your surround sound and you will have sound coming from the tv and surround sound

Won't this only be in stereo though? Do you still get the dts 5.1 mix or just the stereo mix across more speakers....

I only hear sound from the right side of the surround sound. Both Front Left and Rear Left don't make noise for ps3. They do when I switch surround sound to DVD/Blue Ray without ps3 usage
