Increased demand, decreased supply price goes up. Price goes up marginal fields come into play. Still not enough supply, price goes up and up. Food gets dearer because it is heavily oil reliant.
Conservation is the best source of oil. Reduce demand, price does not go up as much.
There is no point in denying peak oil, prices will go up. By denying peak oil, the neccesary investments to extract heavy oil, slow oil will not be made.

I learned alot about peak oil at LC. Oil will stop just shooting out of the ground from pressure, and we will have to start pumping it out (raising the price astronomically). Yea theres oil left for say 50 years but were not gettin all of it! It is an issue of imminent importance, but not a word from the media or our candidates.
