Hoagy Carmichael wrote "Stardust" at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, his home town, in 1927. The short upright piano he used is on display there. He was a law student but eventually dedicated his life to composing.

Can't you say what you really mean without the F word? You ruin the comments for everyone else.

I heard this song on an old radio program on radio spirits' highway horror, disk two; "strange passenger". I really like the piano in this song.

The movie stardust is fucking gay. This is the greatest song ever written. Period. And the best version is the one performed by Carmichael, the songs composer.
Go eat a dick WolfyFag.

Are you retarded? I've never even heard of a faggot called Billy Ward. The version that I WANT TO HEAR is by Ilan Eshkeri, the soundtrack for the MOVIE Stardust. It's some of the most beautiful music that I've ever heard. That clears that up.
muldermulder, I owned a Yamaha 6'3" grand which I happily traded for a Baldwin 6'3". I couldn't be happier with that trade.

@doothless: Good for you. "De gustibus non discutandum est" (discussions about taste are useless ,as the old Romans said) Regards M&M

Are all Yamahas so bright and ear-piercing?
doothless 1 year ago
@doothless: No. Yamahas do have a touch of brightness, and that's why most jazzplayers like the sound of Yamahas. But the brightness in this clip is caused by limitations of the recording device: the microphone in the camcorder amplifies the high notes and causes a little over-brightness.
