I put a thick layer of Kasenit on the frizzen, wrapped leather around it and fixed it with wire. Then I squeezed clay all around it and allowed it to dry for three days. The lump of clay was then put into a steel tube - closed at the bottom of course- and went down into my stove with a fire of charcoal burning white hot. after an hour I pulled it out , broke the clay with a hammer and let the frizzen drop into water- it sparks!!
attempted to harden a frizzen with kasanit compound 5 times didnt work ..tried this and now my darlin ol brown bess roars every time thanks for the posting
normally megan fox hardens my frizzen, but she doesn't do any of this nonsense

I've had very little luck with Kasinet also. Will the tin can method work in a charcoal fire also?
