I have survived in the real world to things that you wouldn't imagine, and maybe next chrismas I will be also in Afghanistan (that I hope).
The piyama moment was fine (I think it too) , ¿but the comment about 7 kill streak?
Man, the names of the end of the video ¿Do you think they will "respawn" again? Show respect.

Saw the documentary RESTREPO (named after the 1st KIA of a new deployment I think in 2007) in the Korengal. My first thought was 'what a goddarnawful place to get stuck in'. Remote valley on the Paki border surrounded by steep mountains. Those guys captured a place high up (Restrepo) and took fire constantly. Saddest part was that after some 50 KIA's in the Korengal, US forces were largely withdrawn in 2009. Makes the deaths of those guys, most of them kids, seem even more futile. Fucking war.

where all the other OPs in the Korengal attacked as much as Restrepo. or do people just know about it cause of the movie?

@MAJORLAWRENCE01 yes it was very even. Restrepo got the most publicity simply because they had the worst living conditions in comparison to the other bases. But they also were able to rotate in and out of the korengal outpost for showers and good food, etc. every two weeks-month. Firebase Vegas did not.

ya its still there..but the 4th ID guys that replaced us abandoned vegas and all the other outposts in the korengal except for the KOP.
