Crowntail male bettas flaring very beautiful.

These fish would fight to death and would rather fight than eat. There was heaps of mosquito larvae in the tank! too much testosterone :P

My male betta flares his gills... but theres no female near him. Like i think he just sees his reflection and says "Hey im lookin gooood" Also he has made a bubble nest at the top of the tank.. i think he expects me to buy him a girlfriend or something..

@smallchick1295 If he is making a bubble nest, he is kind of ready to mate. You should buy him a girlfriend, after all, fish like spooning too : )

@panhead88 Its good that you didn't let their little show get out of hand. I get very angry when I see people put two bettas in the same tank for the soul purpose of watching them fight. With bettas this beautiful, it would be a crime to even let them rip each other's fins off let alone kill one another.

@Sasukesorrow haha, not many read the info box, they just look at the video and judge. I stopped the video because I saw one of them chasing the other and didnt want it to go any longer. 20 seconds was all they had! Thanks for the comments :)

@panhead88 Actually, I'm a beginner with Betta's. I've just had mine for about 2 months and have been reading a lot about them since I want to get more and put them in a divided tank. Besides, common sense tells me that someone who has such beautiful Betta's wouldn't be stupid enough to put them together without knowing what they're doing. Plus I read the info box :)

@Sasukesorrow thank you. at least someone knows what they are talking about. Yes, they were very nice fish, the video does not do justice with the real colours they had. Again, you're right, they were supervised and separated after the video was taken.
