  • did you say "Faxing" or "Fasting"?

  • this was a while ago and I didn't re-watch but I assume I said "Fasting".

  • now you say the manager at your job was unhappy with you...well if somthing happends and you end up leaving fine go ahead....but i know this might sound silly but you should try working at mcdonalds...just for a year, because it will expose you to all kinds of people all the time and its one of the most busiest resturants....they might put you in the window, frong counter or back drive...or run (they expose you to people directly) through all the embarssement/panic you will overcome i promise.

  • I did work at Starbucks, which is probably as busy as McDonald's. but the crowd is different. Yeah, the anxiety was there but I got through it at the time. The reason I can't do such a public setting at the present time is because of the PHYSICAL symptoms of anxiety, it's not just mental like before. I have the same symptoms of a heart attack when I get panic attacks, it's beyond my control, so that's the only reason I haven't. But in time I will give it a shot :)

  • oh yes...i can relate to all this..since over 20 years I have the same problems regarding social anxiety in jobs...I'm not going to tell you, how many times i changed the work..and every time i found a new one, it's the same drama over and over again...The beginning is so hard...especially the morning before the first work day...I feel miserable...

  • Wow! Ditto on everything you just said. I feel the same way day to day. While I'm not on my own, I am financially dependent, but I say I'm in school as an excuse. And I absolutely LOATHE it when people say, "Just get over it!" So, thanks for being so candid.

  • I wish you were here. We could relate so much. I hope you have the support you need.

  • None of you have to live with this anymore. I used to be a victim of this and I know the frustration, embarrassment and fear that is involved. Please go to my site. You dont need to buy anything, I promise you its already been paid for fuentesevangelism-.-c-o-m-

  • hey fasting is awesome, and totally effective for losing weight. I used to be a fatass 230lb kid but then i just stopped eating for like a month and dropped down to 175lb... girls started flirting with me more, and all those girls who used to be "just friends" were suddenly all over me. It was pretty tight. And yeah, don't believe people when they say "looks don't matter" because, well, looks matter lol... People are shallow fucking assholes and none of us want to admit it

  • Oh honey..... I want to just hug you right now! I have insomnia as well, anxiety, depression...possibly from a medical cause, but I know how you feel. I've only had these problems at this intensity for 5 months and it's killing me! I feel like people like us need real friends, like a mentor to literally be with us day to day and help us overcome the anxiety. Someone to offer hugs and encouragement, calm us down... help us smile. A hand to hold as we go out into the world... It might help.

  • Look for a job thats a little more solitary. Being in a fast paced job is ok but I'd look for something that has a little less interaction with other people!

  • I am the same exact way, I was crying watching it because I hate that other people have to go through the same fear in life. I just want to run away and hide from everybody. Im a caregiver that works with one person at a time and I still get social anxiety.

  • @OMFGsoBOARD no lol i was just using that as an example. But I don't really get nervous from walkiing around in wal-mart it's when im forced to confront people like if i have to go up and pay for something or when i make eye contact.

  • @AssassinC101 Wow u get nervous right when you enter walmart? I dont get it until someone talks to me LMAO!

  • @OMFGsoBOARD exactly because you can tell when people feel the way you do. most people say there nervous but on the other hand there going to places like walmart without hesitation it's like wow i thought you were nervous lol

  • @assassinc101 totally agree, I've had friends that didn't understand and would tell me about how they felt nervous and were in my shoes. I think they can still feel nervous but they dont loose their ability to think straight like real social anxiety people do.
