This is one of the most touching scene I've ever seen. I always cry when I see It.

  • @fl333r boromir lived for nothing ,but died for something

  • Such an emotional scene. In the books, Boromir was described as the the finest warrior man had to offer. Much more so than aragorn. Like while on the mountain, he plowed a path through chest high snow for the hobbits to walk in. The movies never did a good job of showing the strength and valor of boromir and faramir. But this scene redeems Boromir. At the end, when the fellowship reaches him, dozens of uruk hai lay dead around him. Save Gandalf, he were the most potent warrior in the fellowship.

  • I think that Boromir may have been a complete jerk at first in the movie, but that scene when he gives the speech is incredible.

He also is a great brother to Faramir. Faramir's father never supported Faramir, and constantly berated him. Boromir is a prime example of a excellent brother. He was Faramir's quasi father figure. That's why I like Boromir.

  • Be at peace, son of Gondor :(

  • @clynchable Boromir was described as being the mightiest member of the fellowship save Gandalf. If he was a better fighter? no idea, the book is not that specific. However, Where Aragorns strength's lie, therein lies Boromir's weaknesses. Aragorn were not identified by his prowess with the blade, but his strong will. Boromir on the other hand, had his strength in battle and in his compassion for Gondor. Which in the end spelled his doom.

  • @MrSpence341 Arrow to the chest, not arrow to the knee. But other than that minor detail...yeah :P

  • @behemuth Boromir isn't a better fighter than Aragorn. It doesn't say it or even suggest it in the book. He was meant to be not as tall as Aragorn but broader. Aragorn was leaner. However he was of greater lineage and was a greater man. But your right - Boromir was a very valiant warrior and despite his weakness regarding the ring, he redeemed himself in the end. The films don't demonstrate the valour of the men of Gondor, they all seem too weak.

  • I liked this video for Boromir.

  • @kidindacardboardmask you dare make an arrow to the knee joke while I sit here shedding manly tears?

  • pause it at 6:30 and look at all the bodies boromir well done

  • I used to be part of a Fellowship...until I took three arrows to the chest.

    -Boromir-
