I have just recieved a Hornby Dublo Engine through friends, buy only have the most recent 00Gauge track. Is there any way to convert Dublo engines to run on modern track? Thanks.

Yes yon can get them converted from 3 rail too 2 rail, There are a few people still around that will convert them for you. I think Tony Cooper maybe able to convert the engine for you if you look up Tony cooper and Hornby Dublo in your search. What engine is it that you have as converting it could de value the loco

@klklkl12321 You can do it cleverly by spreading across the pick ups and playing with resistors

@klklkl12321 - I would imagine that Hornby Dublo 3-rail models would be worth more if left original. Tell your friends to convert their 2-rail models to 3-rail operation - it has been done.

V Impressive. Apparently there was a small production run of E3000 locos in 3-rail, is this one of them or a conversion from 2-rail?
