I'll am going to assume that they've drastically improved performance for this newest version. The biggest problem with FSX was that it was highly CPU intensive, and yet it only took advantage of 2 cores (Although, indirectly, 4 cores could help a bit). I'm sure this is where the notable improvement is. I'm also going to guess the world terrain more resembles "Wings of Prey". If you haven't seen the terrain in that game, you should check it out.

I don't think this video gives us a good idea on how it compares vs FSX. We don't really get a good look at the scenery. Also I don't think we should be worried about the lack of jets in the videos, I'm sure MS will include them into the sim.
