I've spent a lot of time with Shawn and he's a passionate teacher who tries to get his students to think like painters. The answers to his questions are in front of you, either in the video or on your own canvas.

I'm sure he's a great teacher and his students have achieved a lot of success, but if I have to come up with my own answers why was the video even made?

This particular clip is 3 minutes out of a 2 hour and 45 minute long DVD. It's been out for several years and the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.
