@cadwyn101 lol if u already wonder why sumo is a sport, what about chess. yes chess are sport. but i guess (from all ur comment) u ONLY decide things are call sport by what u like, not by the true meaning of sport

I used to love watching these two guys tussle once every tournament because their winning styles were really different. Akebono was all about sticking to one method that worked for him consistently: push push push. Musashimaru use different methods, but they always revolved around being stronger than his opponent.

Well that is a false perception the Japanese people have of them. Of course it is no different than other people in entertainment from the US. Rappers, Basketball and Football players all get so much respect, but for what? Maybe not to the point of walking/living gods, but certainly more respect than they should get for sure. I mean they are trying to sing or play a sport for crying out loud and most can not do either, but they sure do make the money.
