Rory's POV:
The Ferris wheel was coming to a stop and I saw Joe anxiously waiting for us. Jaime got out first and then he took my hand and helped me down.
"Lets go play some games." Joe suggested.
I nodded my head in agreement and then we all made our way to some games. Joe decided to play some kind of dart game where you had to pop the balloons. He didn't do so well the first try, but then on the second try he did perfect! He picked out a stuffed monkey and then handed it to me.
"For you." He grinned.
"Aww Joe!" I laughed.
"Do you like it?" He asked.
"Of course Joe... you gave it to me."
He smiled from ear to ear. I looked at Jaime, who was looking away from both of us.
"Why don't we go and get something to eat." Joe suggested.
"Sounds great."
We all walked over to the food area to find Nick and Kevin laying their heads down on a table. Something tells me that they had had a little bit too much to eat, which is not surprising. I walked over to them and messed up their hair. They both groaned.
"What's wrong guys?" I asked them.
"Too. Much. Food." Nick mumbled.
"Come on, we better get you guys home." I smiled.
They both stood up and we ended up just heading back to the Jonas house. When I got home I put the stuffed monkey that Joe had given me on my bed. It was perfect.
That night, I went straight to sleep, dreading school the next day but ready to find out when would be a perfect time to tell Joe.
Joe's POV:
I got dressed the next morning and went to go pick up Rory and Jaime. Yeah, he goes to our school. Who knew? How had neither of us ever seen him before? All I know is that he is just trying to get on my nerves. I walked inside the house and they both came down the stairs.
"Good morning Joe." Rory smiled.
"Good Morning." I said back.
Jaime looked at Rory and then he noticed that the tag was sticking out of the back of her shirt.
"Your tag is sticking out; let me get that for you." Jaime said, reaching behind Rory and slowly slipping the tag back into her shirt. His fingers lingered on her neck before finally pulling away."There, now its perfect."
"Come on, we are going to be late." I said, trying to break up the little moment that Jaime was trying to have.
When we all got to school, we all separated and went to our first class. I was bummed that I couldn't keep an eye on Rory.
Rory's POV:
I was halfway to my first class when I realized I left my book in my locker. So, I walked back and I happened to see Jaime on the way. He looked like he was heading out of the building. Where was he going? He wasn't going to sneak out was he?
"Jaime!" I called after him.
He turned around and then just kept walking. Okay, what was he up to?
"Jaime!" I called again, running after him.
When I finally caught up to him I grabbed him by the shoulders and turned him around to face me.
"Where are you going?" I asked him.
"None of your business." He said simply.
Wow, that was a little harsh.
"Are you skipping school?" I persisted.
"What if I am?" He shrugged.
"Well... I...I..." I stuttered. I didn't know what to say.
"You go to class and be a good girl and stop worrying about what I'm going to do." He turned and started walking away, but I wasn't ready to let the argument end there.
"Hey, you can't just walk away after saying something like that." I said, my voice starting to rise.
He turned around, slipping the sunglasses that were in his pocket over his eyes.
"Actually, I think I can." He smirked.
He opened the door to the school, letting the sun pour in. He swept the hair away from his sunglasses and then stood there looking at me.
"See you around." He smirked again, finally walking outside and away from the school.
I guess the bad boy was back.
