Sermon for the Second Sunday of Easter--May 1, 2011

On May 1, 2011, I was honored to substitute at St. Peter's Episcopal Church as preacher for our priest, who was out of town. The Gospel that morning was John 20:19-31 -- the story of Jesus appearing to the 11 apostles the week after His resurrection and St. Thomas confessing Him as "my Lord and my God!" It was an honor to do, and a lot of fun to be a part of the liturgy with Rev. Norma Sutton presiding over the Eucharist and Rev. Nancy Meyer serving as deacon.

This was my practice run, alone in the church decorated beautifully for Eastertide thanks to the ministrations of our Flower Guild, including Joanna Gesicki, Kelli Sampson, Marisa Walstrum, and Ricardo Villota.
