  • your computer is dying because your model of g3 was never designed to run os

x only 9.2.2 so it's your own fault

  • You Rigth... I accep that if i use the old Firmware, this mac has the 9.2.2 and OSX 10.3 Panther and now runs Flawessly, that Weird of are problem of RAM now Fixed Installed on a 233Mhz and 256 Ram PPC G3

  • Virus Vista, In many cases Mac OS are better now than Virus Vista, when appear the Service Pack 4 Vista may be i try again, now im using XP and OSX on a Macbook.

  • Maybe your computer is slow

  • Surely, a new iMac have a 120 Of Benchmark and this one only 5 points of benchmark, that means what this machine is 24times slower than the new iMac with Intel Core2Duo.

    OMG o_O

  • i run 8.6

  • smash imacs or upgrade their os x jaguar to os x tiger!

  • Simple- You trying to open a Windows program on a Mac!

  • @susieq50510 WRONG G3's were capable of running OS X just fine, the first couple versions where made to work well with the G3, do your homework

  • @jguerrerofrescotti Not true, I used one of these as a webserver a few years back, running 10.0 being an all in one design it was pretty usable.

  • My old 233Mhz iMac could run OS 10.2 without crashing, but it was not a pretty fast experience.

  • lets see. several problems with those series of imacs. one is it was manufactured during the capacitor plauge espionage, and there is issues with the analog board where all the solder joints need touched up and redone, along with the main FET in the power supply replaced as the gate becomes noisey. and will cause random shutdown syndromes in that chassis.

  • try to reset the PRAM:

    # Shut down the computer.

    # Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.

    # Turn on the computer.

    # Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

    # Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

  • Maybe your mac hates Micro$oft.

  • Hi can I ask you a question i have a imac power pc g4 and it is running tiger 10.4.11 and when i get online it crashes sometimes it will go hours with crashing and then it can crash back to back what can I do to stop the crashing. I have a dsl connection.
