  • I'm shocked that this song wasn't nominated for Best Original Song, let alone win in that category! Brother Ray know he put a killin' on that piano!

  • This song really fit the movie. I'm wondering why it wasn't nominated.

  • hello brother Ray, sungguh masuk lagu dengan filmnya :)

  • I remember sitting in that movie theatre and hearing that song I almost hit the ceiling. My man Ray rocked the house

  • i love ray charles

  • The closest city to what Sparta was, would be Greenwood Mississippi.

  • That's an excellent question. Especially given that it was a composition of the great Quincy Jones that was recorded by his best friend Ray Charles.

  • In the restored train depot in Sparta, there is a photo of the "Welcome to Sparta" sign,at 1:24. It was erected near the depot by the production crew.

  • What's the name of that county where Sparta, Mississippi is? I guess there was a scene in this film showing the border of state Arkansas near that Sparta, so it must be county on the east side of river Mississippi.
