dude, you rock! Thanks for making these videos, you explain things better than most I have seen. I watched this first video, then I messed with Illustrator for a while with what I learned and amazed myself. I have owned the master collection for a while, but with so many different programs its difficult to learn them all. Illustrator seems overwhelming with no instruction. Nice program!

Photoshop is for photo editing using tools to edit pixels. illustrator is a vector base applications for creating images and text.

why can't i do anything on my blank page?
all i am able to do is move the page. to make my question more clear, my cruser is in a hand form and it only allows me to move the page to different area of my screen. help, it is annoying!!!

Sorry for taking so long to get back to your question but the hand tool just moves the page the arrow tool moves objects so if you created an object just drag the arrow over the object and you can select the entire thing

@doublecrozz I have this problem too, My cursor will not change from the hand cursor too, no matter waht I click on. Have you fixed it yet?

@stants10 try to hit the v key on your keyboard if that dont work it usually the space bar sticking try hitting it a few times
