unit cost 2006 est: 4.5 mill $ (source omedia.com)
on about 2200 units, 600 mark 4, the only usable.
16400 million dollars / 600 units =27 million pr unit.
So, is this piece of shit really worth 4,76 Leopard 2's a piece?

@Goordull You seriously believe that? Just like a retarded American believes his Abrams is God of all tanks? My country uses Leopard 2, one of our Leopard 2 was destroyed by modern RPG-7V2 in Afghanistan. We didn't cover it up, we praised the Russian weaponry, and now. We no longer buy Leopard 2 instead we focus on infantry. Because tank warfare is becoming obsolete in todays standards. Don't hide that fact, any tank can easily be defeated by infantry

In second lebanese war Heballa fired more than 1000 AT missiles on Israeli tanks, only 59 of tanks were damaged seriously, only 25 tankists killed. This is the best results of modern warfare in war against guerillas who have weapons like Fagot, Kornet, Vampire, Konkurs, Malyutka etc.
