  • "Must be important for you to wait after dark."

    Ummm...

  • Yes! The entrance of Vincent Price! Huzzah!

  • @Marrikable Not impossible to shoot at night back then, but almost. The film stock tech wasn't good enough to shoot at night without doing it in a studio or with tons of lights. You could do that scene with some brutes behind trees to silhouette them and give the actors torches and light their faces with some 1k lights. Fire alone couldn't light a scene back then like you can do now. This was a B-movie, so they didn't have the budget to light that scene. But they could've been smarter about it.

  • One of the highlights of this movie was the beautiful theme song, heard at the beginning of this clip.

During the 80's and 90's, when this movie was shown on tv, it was replaced in the film by some wierd funky music. Great to see that the original soundtrack was restored in the release.

  • Yes let me put your niece to bed where ill sodomize her ho ho!

  • nip splip on youtube!

  • Burn the witch, aye ... wi' yer black hat 'nd yer broomstick.

  • The real Hopkins was much younger; probably only his mid 20s

  • Never seen this movie before, but already I've a nasty premonition that Sarah will be charged a witch.

Hearing Vincent Price's high-pitched whiny american accent was pretty funny! Sounded like he had a nose full of snot.

  • @flyinstew I concur, though film music shouldn't just strive to be 'tasteful and lovely''. Even a great deal of this score is dissonant and unsettling.
