X10 Co-Pilot live V9 with Android Update - beyond V2.1.wmv

Purchased a Sony Ericsson
Experia X10 after my HP-6945
became unreliable. Well my
phone came with Android V 2.1
so TTS (text to speech) would'nt
work in Copilot live, which I regard
another upgrade from an old Tom-Tom
version I used to rely on. Now my
X10 have Android V3.2.5, which was
released as an open version of
the Android OS. The main reason
for installing this is that now I can
install most apps to my micro SD
card rather than having to use the
X10's limited memory. A bonus as it
turned out is that now, as you can
hear, the Copilot can see the TTS
and use it appropriately. If you
decide to do what I felt compelled
to do and modify your device, you
choose to do so at your own peril
and in no way perceivable shall I
be held responsible (no matter how
expensive your lawyer is). The code
I used was
KFix_free.apk (light stay on otherwise)
CWMInstaller-windows-v4-dl.zip.

To really take advantage of your phone while driving
you'll need to purchase an adaptor that allows you
to plug it into your car stereo's aux input; you are looking
for a 4-split stereo plug, where the fourth is for your external microphone.
So the four splitted plug goes into your x10 and then the two females are for
aux stereo and the microphone. Below is one with built in microphone.

Now your x10 will play your music (as in my video) but using your car's audio system
and the copilot voice (TTS / Test To Speach) will turn the music down whilst giving
driving directions. How cool is that? :o)
