The Kappa Omicron Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. was actually the 1st black Greek sorority on the campus of UNC at Chapel Hill which is also this nation's first state university. Kappa Omicron Chapter was chartered on July 21st, 1973 by 5 Divas who undertook the mission and goals of Delta Sigma Theta as set by our illustrious 22 founders. As of today Kappa Omicron has been on this campus for exactly 34 years and 6 months. Hope this helps!
