Tyler Pre-College Summer Workshop - Painting

This Workshop offers a unique series of studies that will lead students to creatively investigate effective use of color, surface and composition through painting. Working from still life setups, interiors or landscapes, students will develop a visual language. Individual development is stressed through one-on-one critiques.

Students entering grades 9 through 12 are invited to attend.

If you are new to the excitement of creating art, many of these quick intense workshops are a fun way to focus on exploring new media and techniques. For students planning to apply to an art school, this is an opportunity to acquire work in a variety of media that is suitable for use in portfolio presentations. The workshops provide a time and place where student artists can immerse themselves in a studio experience on a college campus.
