Boston King, I think you should study your postcolonialism history a bit closer, so that you would see that the influence of the US over many countries in the Caribbean (among others) in terms of tariffs and control leads to far worse dependencies than what happens in French Guiana. Considering your nickname, I will not advise you to read a book, but at least you should watch a documentary called LIFE AND DEBT. It's about Jamaica. You will get it.

I am excited someone else has actually been to Guyane, I have never met anyone else that has been there and usually no one even knows where it is!

I've been there six weeks ago and I assure you that it's a very beautiful country and people is so great.
