It was our biggest rally so far -- we estimated the crowd at roughly 1200 people. The field staff had worked overtime decorating the gym, setting up the audio/visual stuff, and putting just the right mix on our campaign iPod for before and after Al's speech (we may have spent a little too much time working on that). And, of course, Al was in top form. He talked a lot about health care, renewable energy, and the war in Iraq, which are three of the issues we hear about the most out on the trail. But he also talked about our need to do a better job holding government accountable when we give it the responsibility for keeping our families secure and providing opportunity for everyone.

That's awesome! Only in Minnesota.... I'm glad to have moved here, although it's a sad thing to also have witnessed the passing of the great late Paul Wellstone, another unabashed Liberal...
