  • im on the north end of gull

  • @toaster380 we went out on Sunday night using this same technique and pulled in atleast 15 or so in about an hour and a half, make a trip down and give it a try!

  • i have a cabin a quarter mile up the road from 4 seasons and fish that bar all of the time. I guess you stated 6 feet, but I have never caught a walleye in less then 10 and normally concentrate on 12-16 feet of water. Is this because you guys are fishing in august and i am more in June and July, and would this shallow method be effective in late june towards july? thanks.

  • @natedykes1 Actually, it is because of the method that we use to catch the walleyes, which is trolling with the sr-5's. We went out late last week and did very well trolling the shads in 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 feet, and all the eyes we have been catching have been very good sized. The weed lines finally started to move in there last week and the fishing has been good!

  • Maybe could you take a video of you guys catching some Northern Pike and Bass?

Please do i have been to Gull Lake and I love it!

    Thanks

  • @2ruby4 We will try to get out and do some bass filming sometime later this week or early next, they have been getting slammed lately.

  • I need help choosing a walleye trolling rod for Mil Lacs. I want to use various Rapala's and 10lb braid for line. The Abu Garcia rep actaully recommended I try a Ugly Stik medium heavy (??). What weight rod should I try and also how fast of tip? The Ugly Stiks don't mention the tip of the rods, just the M or MH. Thanks for the help!

  • great video! going to definutly try this!!

  • Dont know anything about trolling. Going to Perrault Falls Ontario in August. Can't thank you enough for the basic 'how to' Much appreciated. Keep up the good work. Simple and effective.

  • @MNrap I have not personally worked Polk's Flat, I tend to do good enough on the main part of the lake with walleyes, so I tend to fish there the majority of the time for walleyes, but I would have to think that the method of pulling shads would work there as well. Another good techinique to try early and late season would be trolling Lindy Rigs topped with a red-tail chub or a shiner
