England's most well-preserved 13th Century fortified Manor House. Built in the 1290s, it survived the welsh border skirmishes of the middle-ages and the civil war in the 1600s.
Apart from minor repairs in the 1890s, the house (not really a castle) is mostly in its original 13th century state.
