Is so sad to see people write stuff here full of ignorance and hete.... I was born In Dominican Republic and proud of that. Yet after i Moved to the United States i started to notice that there is alot of racist from all over. As i was growing up all i saw was the Haitians that worked in the bateys near my hometown,They were dirty and uneducated. After i moved to the US and saw so many haitians educated and totally different than back home. We the same separated by a RIVER!

It's very sad to see that the only thing that you are proud of is your light skin. The fact remains that you are a product of RAPE by the Spaniards of your Afro Ancestors. Black by any other names is still black! Your action only shows your sheer ignorance and the fact that you are ashamed of who you really are. Dominicans, it's time to embrace your culture, your roots and who you really are. Just be Black and Proud! DOMINICANO - MORENO!

so, why Americans government don't make Mexicans and others peoples residents ????

@AllthingsSweet22
So we are disgusting people right? What about you haitians you are all prefessional backstabbers you don't even care about your own, Hell you will even deny your own nationality. But where ever we go we are pround to say we are Dominicans just like me. One thing that I would love to see is the day that all Haitians are remove from DR and return to that hell hole you guys call Haiti.

The main problem that a great majority of people in Latin America have is that they have been trained and brainwashed to identify with Europeans and to ignore their African roots. The powers that be have taugh the masses to praise Spain and Christopher Columbus and religion has a lot to do with it because don't forget that it was a Spanish catholic priest by the name Fray Bartolome De Las Casas who came with the idea to enslave Africans when he wrote a letter to the Spanish crown for approval.
