Before aspartame, it was discovered that saccharin led to cancer in lab rats. I'm sure that if a human were to consume an equivalent dosage, then they wouldn't be too healthy either. On a personal note: any and all artificial sweeteners get my stomach in an uproar.

the sad truth i believe that micheal j fox is so sick today was because a pepsi spokesman and part of his contract was unlimited pepsi to his house for the rest of his life..this is primary reason why he is so sick today...

does sticking ones head in the sand cause brain damage? I suggest any doubters drink diet soda every day for six months, and chew sugar-free gum. The way they feel will be courtesy of the aspartame pushers, who perhaps, very sadistically, happen to like poisoning people.

A positive correlation between two variables does not
imply causality.
For example, does Christmas shopping cause Christmas?:

Also, Donald Rumsfeld, the former "leader" of the
"Defense Department" used to be the "CEO" of a
"company" that manufactured "ASPARTAME". He
apparently also held shares in that company as
most CEOs hold shares in the companies they
manage. Some allege that he used his "political
connections" to get politicians, or the FDA, to
permit his company to produce Aspartame.
But was there really any evil intent on his part?
