Recently, I recycled my old TiVo. It had been out of service since 2001. Before it was gone, I took a look at the programs from 2001 still stored there. Surprisingly, this Nightly News broadcast from September 11, 2001 was still there. Does my sharing of this broadcast, this piece of American history, break NBC's copyright? Perhaps it does. Perhaps NBC could be selling this piece of our lives back to us which would be their right as the people who paid the salaries of people involved in the reporting and for the cost of the equipment and facilities. Being a New Yorker who experienced the event close up though, my belief is that the event's coverage is part of our shared experience and deserves sharing. If asked, I will remove this content. Thank you.

  • If something like this happens again... they should call the 141 Task force!!!

  • @dknights411 it is strange the FAA walks a very fine line...they are supposed to promote air travel yet they also our supposed to be responsible for safety..and sometimes those conflict with each other

  • 6:10 I know the pilot who died from new hampshire.... :( R.I.P.

  • @frodoshop I wrote that "Osama is still at large" ONE YEAR AGO.

  • @ers586 HE'S DEAD!!!! but you know that

  • Outside job, you give a blow job

  • If you travel frequently like myself , you will be surprised that some flights only carry few passengers. I've been in flights where there are only a small group of 30 people or less. I am not an aircraft owner. they only know what their profit margin is. Take in consideration that these where short flights with connecting points.

  • inside job

  • @aviationwingnut Statistically, Tuesdays are the least busy travel days, and it was early in the morning.

  • @dknights411 Thanks for the thoughts and the feedback. I appreciate it. Likewise, I've also flown on some pretty lightly loaded flights back in the 80's and 90's. However, I just found it kinda odd that all four of those large planes were so lightly loaded - especially, for a cross country flight and on a working business day in the beginning of the week. You're also very right about the post 911 thing. Nowadays, you stand a much better chance of getting bumped or asked to take a voucher.
