Why don't you just press Command H to hide the App? It's alot easier so you dont have to minimize window by window..

Never knew you could do that first one, it makes the dock act much like the Windows 7 super taskbar.
If you long hold for dock expose, would it bring up those minimized windows aswell? In the situation in the video that would be useful.

i have a question. you know how on your dock, it has like a small arrow kind of thing on the apps you have open? my imac is like that too, but i bought a macbook pro today that doesn't have that. is there any way to modify it? it's confusing not knowing which apps are open and which ones aren't.. thanks!

@omgitsmonikuh Sorry it took a bit to respond. in Snow Leopard and Leopard there are no longer arrows, rather a light blue "dot" under each open app! They can be hard to see at times, but they should be there!
