Those who are so interested in Mumia's guilt don't seem to be much interested in the guilt of the American Justice, Economic, Political, Racial Systems. When are they going to be tried? The axe is swinging... and it will come down.
FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS OF THE WORLD.
FREEDOM FOR MUMIA.
He is one of the only well known Black Panthers to still believe in the Revolution, this alone he deserves respect for.

I never knew Belafonte was so straight thinking.
Free Mumia!

@guymeister2 I agree, death to George Bush (both), Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, C. Rice, Henry Kissinger, Colin Powell, and the rest of the neocon gang involved in 9/11, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

how can i help mumia?

@jawdrop1 yeah and how evolution is a myth, I also wonder if they believe their own lies or if they persist in their deceptions because they believe that because it's written in the Bible makes it so. I mean absolutely no offense to any believers out there. Just trying to show that there are two sides to everything, and we can learn from both.

Why doesnt this man state any facts on the case pro/con? Just a thought...

Please fry this murdering scumbag.

Harry Belafonte is a great singer and entertainer. And a complete and total ass. He should be ashamed of himself for this drivel.

I love this man , and the way he 's been living . Many tiny whitees could learn from him . Vive Abu Jamal vive Belafonte .

The left lives in lies. They speak in unabashed falsehoods. Lie unflinchingly to our faces. I wonder if they believe their own lies or if they persist in their deceptions because they believe that saying it makes it so. To say boycot Arizona for for upholding federal law, Or our economic recovery lies in green jobs or Mumia is a innocent political prisoner. And on and on

Bill Cook gave an affidavit in 2001? Inasmuch as his brother's trial took place in 1982, any guess as to why he waited nineteen years to do that?
My guess is that he reckoned that if he had testified at Mumia's trial to the effect that his brother was innocent of Patrolman Faulkner's murder, he would have been indicted for perjury. And Bill Cook probably didn't want to risk going to jail just then.

UH, IF MUMIA (real name Wesley Cook) IS INNOCENT, THEN WHY HAS HIS BROTHER, WHO WAS THERE AND BEING INVESTIGATED BY OFFCIER FAULKNER, REFUSED TO MAKE ANY STATEMENT IN THE CASE INCLUDING DURING THE TRIAL???

Another lie from the FRY MUMIA crowd. Billy made an affidavit in 2001, but the courts would not allow it to be entered as evidence.

Your evidence, Mr. Belafonte???? The man is transparently guilty. Its stultifying that liberals even contest this anymore. What a slap in the face to Faulkner's family.

Many folks think that framing Mumia for the murder (and therefore neglecting to do an honest investigation into the shooting of Faulkner) was the ultimate "slap in the face" to Faulkner's family. A new trial is the best way to resolve this matter.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
he was not framed. He was given a fair trial and He was found guilty.

many disagree with you, including Amnesty International, Desmond Tutu, The European Parliament, Japanese Diet, and many others.
I personally believe that if one looks honestly at the trial, the unfairness is stark and overwhelming. Let me ask you, do you really believe that police could have forgotten about the fraudulent "hospital confession" for 2 months?
