427 SOHC Initial startup at dyno 1965 A/FX COMET project

Finally got my sohc put together and up to the dyno.This will eventually end up in my 65 A/FX Comet.This is the intial startup and check for leaks and such.Fast Eddie and Leonard the Dyno man

@Eddiemotor love the idea of this in sleeper 4 door, but you'd never be able to sneak all that valve gear noise past anyone.

By the way, this is also the engine that broke NASCAR, because just like NASCAR FEARS CHEVY, today, they FEARED DODGE and CHRYSLER back in the day, but this was their DADDY, as RON WHITE would say... THEIR CHEESE WHEEL...

This engine is more than gawk and yawn. This engine with 2 4bbl carbs from factory took on 900HP and 800 Ft. Lbs. of torque... This engine was even in an article way back in the 80's, in a 61 Starliner, no specs on how fast, but who cares. My neighbors 61 Starliner all origional since the 70's is just one of those cars, you leave scratching your nutz, and saying Dayum... Not to mention his dead son's Cherry red 50 Ford, or his 46 Harley all origional. We are just country boys with pride.

This thing must make so much low end torque. Even the mouch smaller sohc cam engines are torque as hell I can't even imagine how torquey this one is compared to its pushrod cousin.

Are you making the Comet a Sleeper?

Cause if so, it would be so nasty, imagine clean simple interior, some anonymous fitting wheels, a registration plate with the text ''Slow'' and an anonymous paint, and taking a drive only to meet up with a Hemi MoPar, who unaware wants to make a trip at the quarter, only to end up loosing totaly without any ideas of what skyrocket past him :D
