Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus (Response)

Recently, an anti-religion video entitled Why I Hate Religion But Love Jesus received national attention after going viral and getting over 20 million views on YouTube. Its main points are as follows:

- Jesus came to abolish religion.
- God called religious people whores.
- Religion tells divorced moms that God doesn't love them.
- The church doesn't feed the poor.
- That religion starts wars.

If the video had only received a few hundred views with that kind of nonsense, we would have ignored it. But with over twenty million views and counting, we felt that we had an obligation to explain why none of that is historically or theologically accurate.

With Easter fast approaching, we have decided to fight YouTube video with YouTube video, with a response that fights fiction with facts. We are asking Christians all over the United States to send this response video to as many people as possible through email, facebook, twitter, and any other social media services.

Yes, Easter = celebration of the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Christ to perpetuate the salvation of life everlasting of all who come to God for the forgiveness of sins through the process of repentance via fasting, prayer, and confession of sins to God. Easter signifies our ability to have this relationship with God as His Will enables us to come to Him without the fear of condemnation!!!

when he says he hates religion, he means religion=all about being the best person possible. He hates that because it is all about relationship with his love Jesus! But beautiful poetry bro!

well I like what you had to say. But using the math Jesus doesnt = religion nor does religion = church. Jesus>religion> church. THERE IS NO EQUAL. Jesus is God creator of all, religion like you said is us trying to connect. notice Jesus > religion but that doesnt mean religion is just gone it just means He is greater. religion and connecting with God doesnt = church. yes fellowship is important but its not the only key. Church is not a building, its a community of followers in FAITH and LOVE!
