Aerith's death was a joke... I laugh at the people who call it the "saddest moment in video game history" because it was done in such a ridiculous fashion... Yeah, it was shocking, but the way they had Sephiroth come down in slow motion made it look almost comical...

why do people still argue about which game is best, i like them all. (yes even X-2) FF7 is good but i find myself playing through 12 or 10 more often. ive just started playing through FF6. my least favourite is probably 3 due to its difficulty but that doesn't make it a bad game. I do agree that the Cid Death scene on 6 is much more sadder than Aerith's death due to Celes seeming that she's lost everyone and is alone, i can't imagine what that feels like.

@kylekeske Possibly ever. I don't see why this game doesn't get remade for the PS3, it would make so much bank, and gain more supporters of the Final Fantasy series. Cid's death scene is far more shocking than Aerith's, and arguably the saddest of the series.

@kylekeske And the most original, 7 was just refining Chrono Trigger, an already great game. 6 was mind blowing in concepts, infact Kefka Palazzo is underated compared to future villians who never show any real character.

@MentalRoXXorGear Lol, true. This is one of the loveliest versions of Aria di mezzo carattere out there. I also think this piece one of the top 5 best FF music pieces. Better? :)

I just wish the ending wasn't cut off though, else I'd use it for my wedding (my fiancee and I love video games).
