Since he did not wanted to disappoint the expectations of the fans, Darren Bailie took his time to present a well considered and well engineered new single. As hinted by the title the track is based on the overwhelming soundtrack of Mel Gibsons heroic epic Braveheart (nominated for the Oscar Best Original Score in 1996).

Although not being a Highlander but of Irish origin, the Braveheart theme is of deep emotional significance to Darren. After all the distinctive beautiful melody emanates from an Uilleann Pipe the Irish version of the bagpipe, which is air powered by bellows operated by the elbow instead of the mouth. Hence he transports the traditional sounds of his cultural heritage into nowadays clubs evoking goose bumps and the feeling of freedom on the dancefloors all over the world

For the production of Protect Your Mind 2009 Darren teamed up with well known and much respected composer Torsten Stenzel who worked already with internationally pop stars like Tina Turner, Chris Rea and Vanessa Mae, did remixes for Moby and Faithless and is responsible for the chart hits of Sakin & Friends and DJ Taucher!
