This is probably the most advanced modern space simulator and strategy game! If you are looking for a anything like this, I recommend you to start with X2 The Threat to understand the story (for the whole story start with X:Beyond the Frontier, but it's quite too old. Head to Egosoft website (google it) for some info about all the games and stuff you need or just PM me anytime
