Is there,or does anyone no,of anyone called wild rob and lord murray of eaglesfield,,one was wild and one ad a big nose, was very nosey and talked a load of crap,,i think he was also known as the VILLAGE IDIOT,,,any information would be gratefully recieved...

I was exploring Cockermouth on Google Earth because of the flooding and hope Cockermouth recovers soon.
Because of a spine issue I have to get out of my chair every 30 minutes and I will master your dance before long. :)

Wow! I had no idea there were country folk dances from your area. My grandmother was a Jackson, born in Lamplugh but grew up in Eaglesfield (Rose Cottage) and my grandfather was an Irving from Great Broughton (Trough House). They lived in Workington and in Cockermouth for a time before coming to Canada in 1920. I know I still have lots of relatives in the area though!

Your ancestors probably come from the village of Eaglesfield near us, then, Georgie. Very pretty spot in NW England. You should visit one day!
