Drugs Thrown over Prison Walls (Footage)

A lucrative business on Winnipeg's streets has turned into a busy enterprise behind bars.

Prison officials at Stony Mountain Penitentiary are seeing a spike in what are called 'throw-overs' - people throwing drugs over the prison walls to be picked up by inmates inside.

The guards working harder to intercept more drugs because this way they don't make money.To bring in a half once of weed a guard charges 300 dollars up front.I dont know about Cocaine or Crack but for priscription pain killers they only charge 100-200 bucks per a bottle whatever the number of the pills and Heroin they charge 200$ an 8 ball.They charge for weed the most cause it stinks and easy to get popped with it.the prices are from 2001 that's when I got out maybe higher by now

If they can't even keep drugs out of prison, what hope is there of keeping drugs out of society? Proof we need to re-assess our approach to drugs, and end drug prohibition.
