This November we are asking all those who support our efforts, to encourage BET to rethink their programming, to sign our petition as well as make a conscious effort not to watch BET on November 2-4 (or any day for that matter). Hopefully, they will hear our voices as we present our concerns.

I fully concur with this. Although I know BET is no longer black-owned its was an absolute embarrassment even it was. I havent watch BET in a long time but this girl I was dating did all the time. (Emphasis on the was) Its funny how people never notice the racist stereotyping that airs on this network daily, but can quickly jump out and holler racism in a situation like the Gates plot. I used to watch BET..but that was before I could read.

BET should be BANNED. I have never watched that channel nor should anyone. Im not even black. Im hispanic. This channel protrays the black community in a very very very inaccurate and awful way. It sucks to know that a channel that does the opposite of enlightening a child is still on the air. BET doesnt need to be canceled all together, but rather change what they show on the network.

The reason so many blacks are mad at BET is, because they do NOT show the good side of blacks. I mean come on, kids and young teens watch BET. Help them understand that they can become a somebody.

BET is bull now!! That's why I don't really watch it as much as I used to a long time ago. Back then, BET was fun to watch because they had a variety of shows to watch and not just some Frankie & Neffe and Tiny & Toya, or that boring, cheesy show Played By Fame. Also, did you see or hear about BET Awards '09??
