I am well aware they are people who respect the monarchy. such as Austrialia and Canada etc. In the interviews i have seen him in he didn`t seem to have to have any interest in been knighted. Maybe it was just my interpetition and reading between the lines

Believe me he did, in 2000 he was Knighted by the Queen in my city Edinburgh in Holyrood Palace. It was all over the news. You can be a nationalist and still respect the monarchy, Australia, Canada etc all have the Queen as their monarch.

He did not accapt the knighthood cause it was against his political beliefs. ` Sir` is also used as a mark of respect for someone who has ditingushed themselves in their own right.

sean connery is the original and the best james bond ever. second choice pierce brosnan and third daniel graig all the rest were just filling the gap. (just my opinion), and he never accepted the knighthood for his poilticial resaons.
