Sloane Wallace and Paulina talk about Paulina's experiences at D&M and at Felicia's show. Sloane tells Paulina that Felicia doesn't have an audience anymore. Paulina insists that she will again. Sloane tells Paulina that Felicia hasn't had a decent share in over a year and she has to do better, they all have to do better. But, Sloane concludes, this is a party, so they'll leave the business talk until tomorrow. Meanwhile, Cass tells Rachel there's a pretty good turnout for the party. Rachel agrees and says it's wonderful having all of the KBAY people there. Felicia tells Rachel she hasn't talked to Sloane yet but she's planning to and apologizes for before, the things she said about Sloane. She had just heard about Sloane and was a little upset. Rachel tells Felicia she's been trying to call her about this for weeks and Felicia hasn't been available. Felicia replies that she feels good about everything and she's ready to take charge again. Rachel says that Sloane is just the person to support Felicia in whatever she needs. After Felicia goes off to mingle, Cass says that Felicia seems better, doesn't Rachel think so? Rachel replies that she hopes so, and tells Cass that she only brought Sloane on to help Felicia. Cass tells Rachel he knows that. Rachel says she hopes Felicia knows it, too. Jake is chatting up Sloane Wallace now, telling her about his experiences as a director and producer, and that he's been lobbying for a job as a segment producer on Felicia's show. Sloane says that Rachel told her about that, but she didn't tell Sloane not to hire Jake. Jake tells Sloane that a lot of people in this town don't like him very much, but he's very good at what he does. Felicia overhears the remainder of Jake and Sloane's conversation when Sloane asks Jake what he thinks needs fixing on Felicia's show, and he replies, "Just about everything." When Felicia started, she was the only game in town, but those days are long gone. Her show needs juice and flavor, and he can give it both. Sloane tells Jake she appreciates his honesty and as for the job, they'll see. Felicia brushes past Iris and Hank, who return from taking the Christmas tree back to Hank and Tommy's house, on her way out and ignores Iris's wish of a merry Christmas. Iris wonders what's gotten into Felicia. Iris asks Hank to get her some punch while she mingles. Hank warns one of his co-workers, who is trying to pry into Hank's relationship with Iris, that his private life is none of the man's business when they meet at the punch bowl. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
Great scene with a number of different folks involved.
