From Vision Media Productions. Ian Fells is Emeritus Professor of Energy Conversion at Newcastle University and Chairman of the New & Renewable Energy Centre at Blyth in Northumberland, UK. He discusses the authoritative nature of the global warming science; explains why nuclear energy is vital, especially in the short term; why a balanced approach to energy is needed; how climate change science has been wrongly represented; How EU initiatives have helped dispel “analysis paralysis”; He confronts the question of whether Africa is doomed!

  • Interessting piece, but Mr. Fells seems rather stuck in his thinking.

Especially the whole pro-nuclear stance is a true shame.

He basicly praises expensive high-tech centralized power stations as the only hope for the world. A few seconds later he points out that the majority of the world is not developed enough to have them. o_0

With distributed energy generation from renewables there is much more hope for the world.

A pity smart people can be so stuck in their ways and... ultimatly wrong.
