If you think about it, Mathias/Dracula is actually pretty sympathetic.

He gave up his humanity to spite God for taking his wife, then a few centuries later humanity takes his wifes reincarnation, Lisa, from him.

His methods are extreme, but deep down beneath all his anger and hatred, it's his love for his wife that's caused him to do this.

Nothing hurts more then losing the one you love with every fiber of your being.

@DarkSeraphim02 I can understand, but it is wrong to hate God for giving people limited lives. I think that's a blessing - not a curse. Death is hard to cope with, but we have to accept it, no matter how much we despair.

Further, I think that he lost his humanity to hatred: Obtaining unnatural powers and becoming Dracula was just simply to spite Him, but if he had lived the rest of his life and died and went into the afterlife, he would be reunited with her.

He created his own ironic hell.
