Hi there, this is a great use of scale practise. People dont criticize, and learn from this guy. Remember among other things, to check out his hand positions both fretted and picking hands. As far as nails, I have long nails and play all types of guitars and styles. Incl picking, using a pick in my thumb and forefinger and picking with the others etc. Experience and learn all styles and find what is god for you.
Great work look forward to more.

Excellent video, Just ignore the unnecessary and unneeded negative comments. Sadly there will always be those of lesser talent with noting better to do than criticize the efforts of others. They will eventually figure out they should had dedicated more time to practicing with their hands rather than their mouths.
Thank you so much for sharing.Namaste (The light in me; honors the light in you)

@BionicSam This video is for helping guitarists with an approach to scale practice- If you do not need or can not use the information to your benefit then it would be most wise to move on without sounding like a hater and adding unneeded negativity into the world of cyberspace.
It s my true hope that you can play all the notes as cleanly and as beautifully as you desire. I look forward to your hearing your music.

excellent video, quick question, how high is your action on the guitar? and what height would you advise, because i recently bought a cheap classical guitar and was astounded when i measured the action at 5mm!!!!! which makes it nearly impossible to play solo's from the 10 fret onwards. thanks

@Marko021guitar Youre wrong! he is ''accenting'' on the 3rd note so the ear hears the dominate note being played. he is clearly hitting EVERY note CLEARLY!

Thanks! It helps me a lot.

@abeismain i try to keep my thumb nail trim but not too long because i also play the piano. but that length is good if you play alzapua a technique used in flamenco.

Im learnin both electric and acoustic to keep from getting bored w one or the other i can only learn as fast as my coordination will allow me - i must say this vid regardless of ur freakn nails and or what notes u hit and how good or bad they sound (and all was great in my opinion) i think this was an extremely valuable lesson in my progression w both guitars and its FREE. Thankyou PEACE

You hit every third note in your 'high speed'...

@Marko021guitar- you may be correct but those "every third notes" are nice are they not?

its great the way you broke it down in to segments, but it dosent sound clean when you play it fast, i cant hear each note, some of them sound muffled and slightly unco-ordinated
